Kaitlyn Hoffman
Kaitlyn and her own little red dog, Wildhorse Gotta Wear Shades, aka Oakley, learned alongside each other.
From a lifelong background in horse training and handling, Kaitlyn was inspired by the intensity of the border collies she had met as barn dogs, (and several fantastic mentors), to dive headfirst into the dog world. She studied with CATCH Canine Trainers Academy to train dogs and teach owners, and believes that learning is never done - there are always new things to study, and improvements to be made in anyone's technique.
She has raised and trained Oakley, a miniature american shepherd, to compete successfully in agility, barn hunt, rally obedience, herding, tracking and flyball, earning many titles along the way! They even have a Champion Trick Dog Title!
Kaitlyn believes firmly in the spirit and energy of the sporting dog and works tirelessly to educate the curious public about what it means to have a true partnership with their dogs, and to "give the dog a job." She knows that a dog whose brain is exercised is just as important as a dog whose body is exercised.
